Capture the Flag

Quick Introduction to Capture the Flag (CTF)

0x01: Authentication & Credential Harvest

  1. Initialize Connection: Navigate to the gateway at apply.txstemed.org.

  2. Discord Handshake: Authorize via the Discord OAuth2 gatekeeper. This verifies your identity and triggers the backend provisioning script.

  3. Credential Retrieval: Check your Direct Messages on Discord. The system will automatically DM you your unique CTFd credentials. Do not leak these; they are bound to your identity.

0x02: Team Formation (Ops Leads Only)

  • Establish a Team: Log into the CTFd platform with your harvested credentials.

  • Recruit Your Unit: Team Captains are responsible for adding members. Provide your crew with the Team Name and Team Code to synchronize your efforts.

0x03: Secure Communications (The War Room)

  • Automated Provisioning: Once your team is registered in CTFd, our backend will automatically spin up a private “War Room” channel in the Discord server.

  • Encrypted Intel: Use this channel for real-time collaboration, exploit sharing, and mission strategy. This channel is restricted to your team members only.

0x04: Deployment of Multi-Juicer Instances

Your primary target environment is a dedicated Multi-Juicer instance.

  1. Locate Target: Access the “Multi-Juicer” link within the CTFd navigation bar.

  2. Session Initialized: Enter your team name to spawn or join your team’s specific hacking sandbox.

  3. Persistence Warning: ⚠️ 12-Hour TTL (Time to Live): To optimize system resources, instances have a 12-hour inactivity timeout. If no traffic is detected for 12 hours, the instance will be terminated and all ephemeral data wiped. Keep your session alive to maintain your foothold.

Troubleshooting & Logs

If the Discord gatekeeper fails to DM your credentials or your War Room channel fails to initialize, report the incident in the #support channel.
