High School Rocketry

As a promoter of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR), Tx STEM Ed proudly supports enthusiasts of all ages in pursuing their Level I and Level II high-power rocketry certifications through expert guidance, safe launch operations, and hands-on mentoring. We routinely host launch events in Beeville and the Rio Grande Valley, providing accessible opportunities for participants to prepare, test, and successfully fly high-power rockets under certified supervision. In collaboration with the RGV Rocketry Club, we administer an annual rocketry contest in the Rio Grande Valley featuring low-power chemical rockets, where students and hobbyists engage in a kit-based challenge to design, build, test, and compete for recognition. These initiatives foster essential STEM skills, safety awareness, precision engineering, and teamwork, inspiring participants across Texas to explore aerospace careers and contribute to the next generation of innovators in rocketry and related fields.

VEX Robotics Events

As a certified VEX Robotics Event Partner, we proudly support the VEX IQ Challenge (VIQC), VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) V5, and VEX U programs by organizing and hosting high-quality competitive events across Texas. We collaborate closely with community leaders, educational institutions, and industry partners to bring signature tournaments and signature events to local communities, providing students with exciting, hands-on opportunities to design, build, and compete with their robots. Through these events, we foster critical STEM skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation, while inspiring the next generation of Texas’s workforce to pursue careers in engineering, technology, and related fields. Our commitment ensures accessible, professionally run competitions that engage participants, volunteers, and spectators alike, helping to cultivate a passionate and skilled talent pipeline for the future.

RECF Aerial Drone Competition Events

As a certified Event Partner for the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) Aerial Drone Competition (ADC) program, Tx STEM Ed proudly organizes and hosts engaging drone competitions that challenge students to design, build, program, and pilot aerial drones in dynamic, real-world scenarios. We partner with community leaders, schools, and industry sponsors to deliver signature ADC events across Texas, offering participants hands-on experience in autonomous flight, manual piloting, engineering notebooks, and team interviews. Through these high-energy competitions, we cultivate essential STEM skills such as coding, aerodynamics, problem-solving, and collaboration, while inspiring the next generation of Texas’s workforce to pursue exciting careers in aviation, unmanned systems, robotics, and emerging technologies. Our professionally managed events create inclusive, exciting opportunities that motivate students, educators, and volunteers alike, building a strong pipeline of innovative talent for the future.

Texas Robotics Academic Conference (TRAC)

At Tx STEM Ed, we partner with community / industry leaders to provide comprehensive professional development for educators, equipping them with robust STEM skills to integrate into classrooms through hands-on workshops, interactive sessions, and curated curricula from partners like VEX Robotics and the REC Foundation. Through our annual TRAC event, we promote accessible curricula offerings, such as VEX IQ and V5 systems for building, programming, and problem-solving aligned with TEKS standards, while fostering industry partnerships with organizations like the Texas Workforce Commission, Tesla, and aerospace firms to highlight real-world career pathways in robotics and drones. Our events feature engaging keynote speakers, and dynamic panel discussions with STEM leaders and professionals, alongside networking opportunities for mentor recruitment, grant discussions, and cohort building to support ongoing program implementation. These initiatives empower educators to inspire Texas students with essential skills in collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation, ultimately strengthening the state’s STEM workforce pipeline.

Cybersecurity Training and Events

At TxSTEMed, we are committed to bridging the gap between education and industry by partnering with leading industry partners, community organizers, and educational institutions across Texas. Together, we develop and deliver professional-grade cybersecurity training programs designed for both K-12 students and adults, equipping participants with hands-on, real-world skills to thrive in the digital age.

We leverage industry-standard platforms such as Root the Box, Hack the Box, and other cutting-edge resources to create customized training experiences. These programs are tailored to meet the specific needs and desired outcomes of our partners—whether it’s building foundational cyber awareness for young learners, preparing high school students for certifications, or up-skilling adults for immediate workforce entry. By aligning our curriculum with industry demands, we ensure graduates are job-ready and capable of addressing real-world threats.

Our mission is clear: to build a robust pipeline of skilled cyber professionals to strengthen the Texas workforce. This is especially urgent given Texas’s cybersecurity landscape.
